Holiday Jump$tart

As a part of New Dawn Vallejo Corporations community outreach efforts, we invite families from the community and organizations to attend the Holiday Jump$tart event. Each year families from Black Infant Health, Shamia Women’s Substance Abuse Program, The House of Acts, as well as other local families and children in the community come and take part in the annual event (formerly known as Lordstrom).

Holiday Jump$tart is an event which educates both adults and children around financial literacy. At the event all participants take part in a financial literacy workshop which may include any of the following areas:

Budget planning
Savings
Insurance needs
…and more!

Following the workshop participants are provided with “Holiday Jump$tart Bucks” which allow them to shop at the Holiday Jump$tart Department store, Men’s Boutique and Women’s Boutique where they can shop for personal care items, clothing and gifts. The gifts are then gift wrapped by “professional” gift wrappers and ready for the tree!
